Jasmine Idrogo

Jasmine graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in both psychology and criminal justice from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas, where she is from. Jasmine graduated with her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas in San Antonio and completed her internship at Rise Recovery, which serves adolescents receiving recovery-related and clinical mental health support.

Jasmine has experience and clinical interest in topics relating to trauma, anxiety, addiction, emotional dysregulation, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, eating disorders, and relationship issues. Jasmine likes to use modalities and therapies that center around mindfulness, post-traumatic growth, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

Jasmine is passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for her clients and emphasizes building a therapeutic alliance. Jasmine works great with adolescent populations, adults, minorities, those in recovery from addiction or other addictive behaviors, those struggling with life changes/transitions, individuals struggling with relationship issues, individuals who struggle with emotional regulation, and individuals wanting to make a change in their lives. In her free time, Jasmine competes in Olympic weightlifting; she loves to go hiking, travel, and dance! Jasmine can spend all day outdoors with her dogs, in water, and on an adventure. She considers herself a coffee connoisseur, can eat breakfast all day, and loves to watch lots of movies and TV shows!
