
Kassie joined Alamo Ranch Counseling and Wellness when she was a counseling student intern. She has since graduated with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University. Kassie was raised in Eagle Pass, Texas, which borders Mexico. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas State University – San Marcos in 2017.
Kassie has gained clinical experience at the St. Mary’s Family Life Center and Alamo Ranch Counseling & Wellness. She is eager to continue her professional growth under the direct supervision of Whitni Toson, MA, LPC-S.
Kassie uses a person-centered, inclusive, and collaborative approach with her clients. She is passionate about working with clients in different stages of life, ranging from childhood through late adulthood, who are affected by anxiety, trauma, behavioral disorders, and more. Her primary therapeutic interventions include psychoeducation, Gestalt therapy, play therapy, and expressive arts therapy. Kassie tailors each session for the client’s benefit and aims to create a safe space to set goals and make progress.
During her downtime, Kassie likes reading fiction novels, re-watching Grey’s Anatomy, and relaxing with her family. She also finds pleasure in trying the newest local eateries, traveling whenever she can, and finding new experiences to enjoy.
