SaraJane Aufrecht is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a specialization in infant and toddler mental health, and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Hope International University in Fullerton, California.
During her graduate training, SaraJane completed her practicum with Outreach Concern, a school-based program supporting behavioral, social, emotional, and academic development. She worked with children ages 7 to 10 in an elementary school setting, providing early intervention and counseling support.
SaraJane has over five years of experience in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA), working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder. Her clinical experience spans individual, couples, and family counseling, and she has supported clients through life transitions, grief, trauma, stress, and relationship challenges.
She integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and tools from the Gottman Method. She also incorporates HeartMath technology to support emotional regulation and resilience.
Her specialty areas include trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, pregnancy and infant loss, sleep difficulties, grief, life transitions, school-related issues, ADHD, and parenting support. She works with clients across the lifespan and provides a compassionate, collaborative space for healing, growth, and reconnection.
SaraJane’s style is warm and empowering. She believes that clients are resilient and often stronger than they realize. Her goal is to help individuals and families access that inner strength and experience lasting change.
Outside of the therapy room, SaraJane enjoys spending time with her family, especially with her young child. She loves movies and true crime shows, and since relocating to Texas in 2021, she has enjoyed exploring her new surroundings and discovering new places. Her greatest hope is to help others find peace in their lives and rediscover the joy around the
