Sheriffa is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) who works with adolescents, adults, and couples navigating some of life’s most difficult and meaningful moments, from healing past trauma to rebuilding connection within relationships. She brings warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each client’s unique story into every session.
Sheriffa supports adolescents who are struggling with their identity, and the emotional weight of growing up. She creates a space where young people feel safe to explore what they’re going through, build confidence, and develop the coping skills they need to move forward while partnering with parents, to strengthen family communication and understanding.
She also helps adult clients work through anxiety, depression and major life transitions. Whether someone is processing painful experiences from the past, feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, or simply trying to regain a sense of stability and direction, Sheriffa provides a space where that work can happen safely and without judgment.
Her couples work centers on helping partners move beyond cycles of conflict, distance, or disconnection, rebuilding trust, improving communication, and rediscovering the foundation that brought them together. Informed by Attachment Theory, she helps clients explore how early relational experiences shape the way they connect, communicate, and respond within their closest relationships. She believes that relationships, even deeply strained ones, have the capacity for meaningful repair when both partners feel genuinely heard and supported.
Sheriffa earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Her approach is trauma-informed and client-centered, drawing on Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients develop practical tools and create lasting change.
Sheriffa’s background in community-based work grounds her in a culturally responsive, collaborative style of practice, one that honors each client’s lived experience and meets them exactly where they are.
