Madeline "Maddy" Johnson

Madeline Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. Madeline is a New Orleans native who has always had a passion for helping others. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, where she continued her journey by moving to San Antonio for her Master’s.

She pursued her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s College. While in her Master’s program, Madeline gained experience at the Family Life Center Clinic and The Rape Crisis Center. Madeline has advanced training in Trauma Focused-CBT, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and specializes in her work with adults, families, and couples. Her areas of expertise include trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, familial/spousal relationships, LGBTQ+ community issues, and grief and loss.

Madeline approaches her work in a culturally sensitive, inclusive, trauma-informed, and collaborative manner and works to develop a safe, empathetic, and encouraging space where clients can find healing and seek solutions that will bring about life-lasting change. In her free time, Madeline enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and playing with her rescue kitty, Arlo.
